What is up with gas?

Something has changed with gasoline. It smells different, effects my truck differently, the exhaust is worse.

Also, I can’t find real ethanol anymore. The stuff I’m getting now doesn’t smell anything like alcohol. It smells similar to hi-test, and costs more than regular unleaded.

I’ve also noticed the air content in the city has gotten much worse. The wife and I find ourselves struggling for oxygen more often than not. Constant low level headaches, burning nose, throat, & chest. High traffic times are the worst and the build up of black crap on every surface happens a lot faster. Check out the pic of the fan, that was pretty clean a week ago. Now the blades and cage have sticky black stuff all over them. That used to take 3-5 months to get dirty enough to clean.

I get the strong impression that our fuel is being modified for some reason and it’s not a good one. Has anyone else noticed this?
