I was involved in the layout and print file production on this project. The client had supplied hi-resolution photos that he wanted to use. This became problematic for the ripping software even when the files were reduced to 180 dpi at 1:1. Lower resolutions produced an image the client would not accept. I resolved the issue by tracing the image into a vector. We could then load the file at 1/4 scale and let the ripping software scale it up. The result looked perfect from only 3 feet away.
